Abstract: Use these scrapbooking ideas for creative goal setting and see the ideas come to life.

Making your goals as real as possible in the present tense, can help you reach them faster. Being able to visualize what you are reaching for can help you realize the possibilities.  Do you want to get out of debt, lower your payments, and increase cash flow?  What images represent these things to you?

In a scrapbook or notebook, write down each of your short, medium, and long term goals. Create a personal journal of your journey by adding stickers, photographs, newspaper clippings, and magazine advertisements to represent your goals.

Here are some goals in my personal scrapbook:
1.  I cut out an advertisement showing a beautifully designed front-yard that I would love to have.  Instead of hiring somone, I simply copy the landscape in my own garden bit by bit.

2.  I pasted a picture of my friends who I would like to visit in the next 12-months.  It's motivation to save more frequent flier miles since I have to fly to get there.

3.  I wrote down a statement for my career goal that says: "I am generating enough income with the advertising on my website so that I can work full-time with my own business to help people get out of debt."  There is nothing more exciting to me than to see people help themselves break away from the chains of personal debt.

If your financial goal is to get out of debt, lower your payments or increase cash flow, make visual representations in a scrapbook to make the goal more real.

This scrapbook is an ongoing activity that makes my goals "real."  It motivates me to take the steps necessary to achieve my goals.  I hope you too will find this to be a helpful tool in your life.
