Donate a cell phone instead of recycling it with your service provider; not only are you helping someone get access to a phone, but it may be tax deductible too!
Donate a used cell phone or at the very least recycle it. No matter if you have a used Cingular phone, used Verizon phone, or used Nextel phone, cell phone donation helps charities. Donating a phone is simple and free to do.
The DONATE A PHONE® CALL TO PROTECT® campaign collects wireless phones to benefit victims of domestic violence.
Another non-profit organization is the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Proceeds from the sale of phones help fund agencies that fight domestic violence. Other phones are refurbished and become lifelines for domestic violence victims when faced with an emergency situation.
Please be sure to deactivate your phone service and remove your electronic phone book before you donate it.
